MONICA WINDERS, LMT

The story of Bloom & Body

Monica is a mama to a three-year old boy and they love spending time at the beach and exploring nature in their new home of Melbourne, Florida.

Graced with the mist of the Pacific, Monica was born in Okinawa, Japan and raised in the tropical paradise of America — Honolulu, Hawaii; she found residence in the Pacific Northwest state of Oregon from 2008-2018 before deciding to pursue her career as a massage therapist in Denver, Colorado, and most recently to Melbourne, Florida in November of 2023.

Monica graduated in June of 2019 from the highly acclaimed, intensive and holistic massage therapy program in Longmont Colorado, led by Jill Berkana at The Berkana Institute of Massage Therapy.

Monica is passionate about the human as a whole. After pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, she quickly realized that the mind is a powerful part of the whole, and decided that caring for the body is a large part in nourishing the mind.

She believes the human is a holistic creature, and when we learn to connect our bodies with our mind, we can overcome some of the challenges we face in our world.

Upon beginning her practice, Monica decided to create ‘Bloom and Body Massage.’

Bloom and Body Massage is at a humble beginning in Florida after practicing in Colorado for 4 1/2 years. It is her call to help others flourish through the practice of massage therapy. Monica hopes to continue education in nutrition and natural medicine as well, believing that what we feed our bodies is also a large aspect and partner in our journey to flourishing & blooming.
